Fitting Type
Made-to-measure blinds can be fitted in two different ways: Exact or Recess. Choosing the correct fitting type is essential, as it affects how the blind looks, how it fits, and how much light it blocks. The right option depends on where you want the blind to sit in relation to your window.
Recess
A Recess fitting is designed for blinds that sit inside the window recess. Simply provide the full width and drop of the recess, and we will make the necessary small deductions to ensure the blind fits neatly and operates smoothly.
This fitting keeps the blind flush within the window, maintaining clean lines and taking up no additional space in the room. It's a popular choice for a minimal, built-in look where the window recess is square and unobstructed.
No Drill blinds are suitable for the recess fit only
Exact
An Exact fitting means the blind will be made to the exact measurements you provide, with no deductions. This option is used when the blind is fitted outside the window recess, usually onto the wall or ceiling above the window.
Because the blind overlaps the window opening, it offers excellent light control and privacy. This fitting can make the window appear slightly smaller, but it is ideal if you want maximum coverage or if your window recess is too shallow or uneven.
