ROLLER BLINDS
Roller blinds are a single flat panel of fabric that winds round a tube at the top of the window, which makes them the slimmest, simplest blind you can fit. They are made in one piece with no joins, so they look clean even on a wide window. They work in almost any room, from a steamy bathroom to a box-room office. Order up to 5 free samples from our free sample service; they arrive in 2 to 3 working days, so you can hold the colours against your walls before you decide.
Which fabric does each room need?
Match the fabric to what the room has to cope with. A bedroom, or a TV room that gets the evening sun, wants a roller from our blackout blinds. A lounge or home office where you want daylight without glare is better with light filtering blinds. For a bathroom, go for one of our waterproof blinds, because a standard fabric next to a shower will pick up mould spots over time.
Getting the width right
Measure the recess width at the top, middle and bottom and give us the smallest figure, as very few walls are square. Recess blinds are made about 10mm narrower than the recess so they run freely. Rollers also sit happily under curtains: blind inside the recess, pole outside it, and the two won't catch.
